Original site from 1999. Revised Nov 14, 2007

[NOTE: before reading these impressions on Imamura, I suggest you read this impression on one of Fassbinder's films: In a Year with 13 Moons. It will help you understand the tone of these impressions. It was not my intention to "put down" Fassbinder's films or Imamura's or anyone else's. In some ways, this was a little "experiment," and I was simply putting into practice my "practice and theory of impressions." Hope you find them interesting or fun to read!]

film impressions

This site was set up in 1999 before blogging as we know it today. That was the original idea behind it, though, to do what a blog does today:: to post an "impression" and let others post theirs -- or at least that was our intention. [Original text: All comments on the films are welcome. Yes, even "it sucked!"
E-mail them to the address below and they will be posted here. (I may have to edit and/or decline some submissions depending on length/content. But hey, feel free to comment on the films)
.]
