| How long have you worked in online marketing? |
We have been promoting ourselves or others online since 1996. With the advent of Google and other players on the scene, some things are certainly easier and more interesting now than they were back then. |

| What can you tell me about online marketing and SEO that I don't already know? | Perhaps a thing or two. Perhaps nothing. The online marketing and SEO dynamic is changing daily. We don't pretend to know everything, either, and we don't necessarily specialize in helping the computer illiterate. We specialize in helping those too busy starting or running their business to work on online marketing and promotion. |
| How long before we see results? | It depends on two things: 1. the strategy we decide to pursue; and 2. your budget. For some strategies, the results are immediate. |
| Do you guaranty results? | Yes, we will work with you until you see results. These days, there are many independent ways to confirm results and see for yourself whether what we are implementing is working or not. |
| What's your background in brand-name consulting? |
We are not only "techies," we are also linguists who
speak many languages. We can help you come up with a truly unique name for your
business, product, or service - one with great name recognition potential and longevity. Like a parent, the person best suited to name a business or product is sometimes its own owner or creator. But we can serve as great catalysts - or "midwives" - to give it birth. In business, the right name can be everything. We helped a software start-up in Austin, TX to come up with a name for a new product. |
| Why "LangComp"? What does it mean? |
We started out as a language company doing mostly
translation. Initially, what we really wanted to do was to design computer
programs to teach languages; hence, Lang[uage] Comp[uter] (the "InterActive"
part was added later.)
The idea never really got off the ground since the translation business was a good one. (One drawback of this name - and one we would like you to avoid - was that we kept getting confused with "Lancome," the French cosmetics company. We got lots of voicemail about lipstick until we caught on why.) |
| What are those other "interests" on your main page? Are you also "film critics or filmmakers," "Italian cooks," and "writers"? |
We pursue a few other interests and would like to
promote them online.
Since all these pages have achieved a certain ranking with the search engines and familiarity for users over the years, we prefer to leave them where they are... |
